I just saw this on the Facebook feed and it's already got like 9 million views, so maybe I'm late to the party with this video, but guess what? Not even a little bit shocked. Russia doing Russia right here.
I think that says a lot about a country when I can watch a group of costumed cartoon characters jump out of a van to pummel a man and have the reaction of, "yep, pretty much par for the course over there." I don't know if it's saying a lot of good or bad about said country, but it's definitely saying a lot. My gut leans toward good. I mean, I know there's a lot of fucked up shit going down in Russia as we speak, but someone has to be the country that has dashcams in every car and affinity for doing crazy shit on the roads for the rest of the world to watch in amazement. If not them, then who? Russia is the perfect blend of alcoholism, terrible standards of living, and depressing weather that is required to create consistent viral video success. So thank you, Russia. The rest of the world may be all up in arms about you these days, but it's nice to see you still contributing to the greater good where you can.
P.S. Mickey would be the "don't throw a punch but stomp on your head when your down" guy in the group. Classic Disney move.
P.P.S. Fake? Possibly, the little costume head adjusting did make it seem potentially staged, but I'm going to stick with real for the moment. Furry convention in Russia? Completely not out of the question.
