I'm so fucking confused right now. What the fuck was that? I mean don't get me wrong, it was cool but could this possibly be the most random video in the history of the internet? Was anybody clamoring for a Power Rangers revival? Did anybody know this thing was being made? Did anybody know that James Van Der Beek was still around? Does anybody know who the fuck he was supposed to be in this? Like the whole time I thought he was the blue ranger gone rogue, which made a lot of sense cus smart guys are always scheming. But then we see that Billy the Blue Ranger goes full suicide after the pressures of that CEO life got to him, so who the fuck was Beek? Was there another ranger that I didn't know about? Was he Zordon? Did anybody see this coming on a random Tuesday in February? I mean every element of this thing is as out of the blue as it can possibly be.
Having said that, best moments were: Black Ranger slaying and making Tae-Bo look like child's play, the blood-splatter on the camera shot that I think accompanied every death, and Rita being the only character who still looked silly as fuck even in this new badass world:
Honorable mention to the Beek for his stellar performance, too. Tossed that table like he was ripping Pacey away from Joey. So I guess in conclusion... sweet? Didn't really know I needed that but, you know, thank you? Whatever, I'm going back to it just being a Tuesday.
P.S. If you watched Power Rangers as a kid then you absolutely knew about Bobby's World, too. Came on right afterward in the morning before school. Made Canada seem like a magical, hilarious place.
