So by now everyone's already seen this, I'm sure. It's pretty damn cool, I think, and for a few reasons. 1. It's pretty damn funny. That's definitely one of Key and Peele's funnier characters* and for that kind of setting he was awesome. 2. Obama always crushes this dinner, regardless of how you feel about him outside of it, and it's nice to see him bring it hard again. 3. Pretty cool to see a good sketch comedy team getting this kind of recognition. Performing for/with the President is definitely a thing, so well done on Key and Peele's part for pulling it off.
Also, every year I see this and every year I just don't fucking get it. This person:
Every year this person is there, in one form or another. The weirdo who is taking this shit way too seriously and is offended by the mockery of it all. Fuck you, lady. It's a stupid correspondent's dinner, whatever the fuck that means. I don't even know why we're supposed to give a shit or why it's even on TV in the first place, so don't be acting like a comedian making jokes is somehow lowering the integrity of the space around you. Lighten the hell up and fire your hairdresser. She was phenomenal in the 80's, nowadays it's just screaming waspy "I have a house on Fire Island and I hate comedy" biotch. And her crusty ass husband is no better:
You two need to head on home and push the beds back together. Start enjoying something for once ever in your life other than antique globe sets and leather bound encyclopedia collections. Don't invite them back, Obama.
